Mercedes-Benz owners demand the best and nothing but the best. So it is not surprising that so many Mercedes owners are eager to upgrade to higher performance wheels, such as the new Arrow model from Mandrus Mercedes Wheels.
Mandrus Wheels for Mercedes Benz came into existence with a mission focused solely on creating wheels exclusively for Mercedes-Benz cars and SUVs. That means each Mandrus wheel—there are now six distinctive models to choose from—are designed and engineered to provide an exact fit and 100% compatibility with each model within the Mercedes lineup. Wheels are precisely centered over the Mercedes hub for a velvety, vibration-free ride. The wheels fully support the Mercedes tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and accept the original equipment center logo cap.
The Arrow custom Mercedes wheels sport a clean, straightforward five-spoke design that is perfectly in keeping with the Mercedes design ethos. The wheel is available in Classic Chrome, trending Matte Black or a unique Gunmetal finish with a mirror-cut face.
“Mandrus Wheels matches Mercedes commitment to excellence in engineering,” opined Terence Scheckter, president of TSW Alloy Wheels. “The result is a line of aftermarket Mercedes wheels that are superior in innovation, quality and performance.”
The Arrow line of Mandrus aftermarket Mercedes wheels supports the concept of a staggered footprint. A staggered footprint means that the rear wheels and tires are slightly larger than the front wheels and tires, delivering improved lateral and off-the-line acceleration as well as a more aggressive posture. The Arrow line includes four diameters—17”, 18”, 19” and 20”—enabling owners to upsize wheel diameter from the manufacturer’s stock size. A larger wheel means you can spec a lower profile, wider tire for improved cornering and braking. Within each diameter, Arrow Mercedes rims pair rear wheels one inch to one and a half inches wider than front wheels.
What makes the Arrow wheel an especially attractive option for Mercedes owners is its advanced rotary forged manufacturing process. The objective is to decrease unsprung weight by making the wheel as light as possible while actually increasing its durability. The rotary forged Arrow is created from a single billet of a unique aluminum alloy. Costly, complex computer-controlled machinery is required to spin the initial casting while under intense pressure, fundamentally altering the molecular properties of the alloy. This creates a much tighter grain structure than found in a cast wheel. The resulting mechanical strength allows TSW manufacturing engineers to reduce the thickness of the rim, with weight saving that accrues to the outer-most circumference of the wheel. That means rotational mass is dramatically reduced which enhances vehicle performance.
